From President Kirsty Stark:

This week we welcomed the recipients of our Service Above Self Awards from Mary Mackillop College, Renee Caprioli, recipient of the General Community SAS Award, and Isabella Carubia, recipient of the College Community SAS Award. The girls spoke about the contributions they had made to their communities to qualify for the awards; community involvement that has impacted on both their lives. Congratulations, girls, and thank you for attending our meeting.

We also welcomed Craig Sumsion, a former club member who now lives and works in Roxby Downs. Craig gave us a brief update about his life in Roxby, and announced that he was in Adelaide due to his wife Sandy (also a former member of Magill Sunrise) winning the Raine and Horne State Property Manager of The Year Award. Sandy is now eligible for the national award – congratulations and good luck Sandy!

The Club has decided to hold this year’s The Reel Event on a Sunday, 3pm for 4pm, to see whether a weekend time slot will help us to attract a bigger crowd. Please put Sunday the 21st May in your diaries.

Weekly Challenge: Marie’s Quiz Night

Arrange a table of 8-10 friends (or let us know if you’d like us to add a smaller group to an existing table) for the Quiz Night. We’ll be giving Norwood an early indication of table numbers after next Tuesday’s meeting, so please have a think about what you can manage over the weekend.
